Tricky start on a spring tide and had a bit of ground to catch up with Blazer who got a good one but at least we weren't over the line.  Pretty fluky conditions on the way to the Forts with white sailing, spinnaker and asymmetric at various stages.  Made up on Blazer by about Ryde and managed to pull out a lead by the time we went through the Forts.  Once past the Forts we had a minor aberration in so much as selecting the wrong Dean Elbow and spending some time working out why we should be sailing in the wrong direction.  This allowed Blazer and Alchemist to get back with us but once switched to the spare GPS we headed off to the correct buoy and just maintained first position.  Once round Dean Elbow it was a decent kite leg to Winner with one gibe and just managed to hold off Blazer.  From Winner back to the Forts we nearly made it without a tack but had to put a short one in at the end to get through and then it was a single tack all the way to the finish. Blazer managed to pull out a decent lead on the beat and could both point higher and have better speed to take the win.  However, second place still put us up the series table as both the other main contenders did not complete.
