Forecast for the race looked too good to be true with a decent South Easterly for the cross channel leg then turning round to a North Westerly to take us into the finish but is was right. Pre start adrenalin rush with the crew missing the early ferry but still made it through the identity gate and onto the start line in time. Started about three quarters of the way up the line and hoisted the asymmetric for the leg to Hurst. Alchemist chose the Island shore with their new asymmetric and we came together at Hurst where it was fairly nip & tuck between us. Dropped the kite and white sailed out past the Needles and got it back up once on course for TSS C. Fast channel crossing with the spinnaker up all the time until after dark when the wind died as predicted and swung round to the North West. Few hours of white sailing then we were able to get the 90% spinnaker up all the way to the finish with an elapsed time of 24 hours and 9 minutes, bit better than last time when it was 2 days and 23 hours! Pit stop in Guernsey on the way back then a down wind rush back in a force 7 gusting 8 making it from St Peter Port to Cowes in 13 hours.
