Started under kite at Colette, fleet split down the Solent and we seemed to lose out a bit by staying in the main channel for the better tide with the boats on the mainland side appearing to have more consistent breeze.  Came back together at the Needles and followed Skua IV and Enigma through height of the lighthouse channel.  Once through it was a beat to St Catherine's and we easily pulled away from Skua and Enigma.  Hoped for some sheets eased sailing once round St Cats but the wind shifted and it was more of the same on the leg to Bembridge.  Wind got a bit fluky as we approached Bembridge but made it OK just behind Rainmaker.  As per SIs we took the time at Bembridge and texted it into RC.  Leg to the Forts and onto the finish was bit tricky with light winds but a strong tide taking us in the right direction.  Finished at 19:31:04 but as it turned out the Bembridge times were used for the overall results.  Extremely please with the win and how well the boat went on the beat which is not usually our best point of sailing.
