Results - 2021

First race of the Spring Double was planned to be a short windward leeward but turned out a bit longer than envisaged.  The forecasts for a strong eastly breeze (16 - 20 knts) was spot on requiring the number 3 and a reef for most of the race.  Reasonable start but couldn't keep up with Skua IV on the extended beat to East Bramble against the strong Easterly tide.  Quick downwind leg back to Jane but erred on the side of caution with no one putting up spinnakers.  From Jane it was another long beat back to Fastnet Insurance followed by a quick blast back to the finish at East Knol.  Race was supposed to take 1 1/2 hours but ended up at nearly 3 for the last finishers.
