Looked like a tight reach off the start so opted to leave the kite in the bag initially but got it up as the rest of the fleet were flying theirs.  About half way to the forts saw Ziggy veering off to drop their kite so quickly downed ours and white sailed it inside No Mans Land.  Kite back up as the angle improved and held it all the way to West Princessa.  Pretty close inside Bembridge and a tricky approach to West Princessa with a strong tide effect.  Looked quite good on the fleet coming away from the mark and lead the fleet back into the Solent.  Usual close in route past Ryde sands and managed to go over the one isolated low spot.  Couple of following yachts headed over to the mainland side but we kept on course for the finish.  Unfortunately Suvretta and Skua overtook us as we approached the finish with their better water line length boat speed the main factor.
