Decided to start nearer the committee boat end of the line as the pin end looked pretty crowded and got away clean with Stan the Boat leading the fleet. Lost out on the drag race to Hengistbury Point but made up quite a bit in the short racking to get round. Once clear of the headland it was a single tack to the finish at North Head. Some boats headed inshore presumably to get the lesser tide but it did not pay off. Approaching the mark we were in close company with the other two Lasers but lost out on a close finish with Blazer and Wacky putting their kites up for the last 1/4 mile into the finish.
