Bad night with 20/25 knots straight down the Hamble followed by an early depart for the 07:05 start at TackGybeSet. Pretty conservative start as down wind down tide with kite up soon after and once round Lepe Spit made good progress peeking at over 11knts SOG. Lead the fleet out of the Solent but pretty tricky across Poole Bay with plenty of broaches. Dropped the kite off St Albans so we could head into the finish but had a 20 minute wind hole before getting back on the wind. Changed to the A sail about 10 miles from the finish and seemed to be going pretty well, however came across a number of wind holes and ended up taking 40 minutes to go the last mile.  Third place which wasn't so bad considering and a good night at there The Kitchen with the rest of the RSYC fleet.
